Dolce Lab ("we", "us", or "our") describes below how we handle user information for the Rudiments Trainer website, Android app, and iOS app (together, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: email address, UID, display name, profile image, and authentication data
- Authentication data: information required for Apple sign-in, Google sign-in, or email/password sign-in
- Usage data: practiced patterns, play history, BPM records, last practice date, and progress data
- Settings data: BPM range, player settings, and certain local settings such as volumes saved on your device
- Billing data: for the Web version, Stripe customer and subscription status; for the Android app, Google Play subscription status, order ID, and purchase-token-related information; for the iOS app, App Store subscription status and transaction identifiers (we do not store full card details)
- Technical data: device information, app/browser information, IP address, access logs, and logs needed for troubleshooting
- Advertising data: ad impressions and interactions, advertising or device identifiers, approximate region, and ad SDK performance and diagnostic information
- Analytics data: interactions such as played pattern category and number, tempo, sign-in method, paywall views, and purchase plan/action. Firebase Analytics also processes app launches, sessions and screen use, an app-installation identifier, approximate region derived from IP address, and in-app purchase product IDs, names, and prices. Analytics events do not include email addresses, account UIDs, or purchase tokens, and the installation identifier is not linked to an account ID.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To authenticate users, sync practice data, and verify and manage subscription status
- To respond to inquiries and send important notices
- To prevent abuse, address payment fraud, and keep the Service secure
- To serve and measure ads in the free version and improve advertising functionality
- To aggregate app usage and improve practice features and the purchase flow
3. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell personal information. To operate the Service, we use Firebase (Google), Stripe for Web payments, Google Sign-In / Google Play Billing for authentication and payments in the Android app, and Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In / App Store for authentication and payments in the iOS app. We also use Google AdMob to serve ads in the free version. For ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement, AdMob may process an approximate region inferred from an IP address, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, crash information, and performance information. We use Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics on the website and in the iOS and Android apps to aggregate usage events, including played pattern category and number, tempo, sign-in method, paywall views, and purchase plan/action, along with app and device information generated by the analytics SDK. Analytics events do not include email addresses, account UIDs, or purchase tokens. We may send information to these service providers to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
In regions where consent is required, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we display Google's consent form. If you do not consent, non-personalized or limited ads may be served where available. The Service does not use collected data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
4. Retention and Deletion
We retain information as needed to provide the Service. Even if you are not signed in, certain data such as BPM records, practice history, and some settings may be stored locally on your device. If you are signed in, parts of your usage data may be synced to Firebase / Firestore. You can delete BPM data or your account from the account page. However, we may retain certain transaction-related information where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, billing operations, or subscription verification.
5. Security
We apply reasonable security measures, but no internet transmission or storage method is perfectly secure.
6. Minors
If you are a minor, please use the Service with consent from a parent or legal guardian.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when needed. Material changes will be announced in the Service.
